16-year-old Jose Antonio Elena Rodriguez was shot and killed in Nogales, Mexico by a U.S. border agent as he was walking home after playing basketball. The agent fired 16 shots through the fence openings with 10 bullets hitting the boy, mostly in the back . The border agent was found not guilty. The U.S. Supreme Court dismissed the appeal.
